Best places for tango in BA..please advise..

Hi everybody,
We are going to BA in coming January for 8 days and would love to go to a place where we can have a nice dinner and enjoy tango performance.I used to dance porfesionally years ago, latin and needless to say absolutely adore it and would love to try it may be as well, but my partner canot dance at all...So it looks like we can settle on a lovely night with superb tango performance..But where?
Please help..it will be much much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can go to a show and watch and dine or just watch.
You really can't dance at a milonga so you might as well research the Tango shows that are available in BA and see which one is affordable and appealing.
Look in any good guide book for names of shows.
Confiteria Ideal has them and they are very entertaining.
Faena Hotel and Universe has Rojo Tango and it is similar to a Las Vegas show and expensive, so do some homework and see what meets your taste and budget.

I made that sound wrong ... Confiteria Ideal has lessons and then after the regulars come and there is a milonga.. you can watch. that is what I meant by show.. not really but a milonga can be fun to watch too. But in your case, Cafe Toroni and or a bigger show might suit.

We very much enjoyed LA VENTANA for the performances, and the dinner was pretty good too. Less pricey than Faena. I would go to Cafe Tortoni and to La Ventana. Different types of show and both good dansing quality with lots of good music etc.

** AVOID: VIEJO ALMACEN - it was just terrible !

You will also enjoy lots of street tango, and they may entice you to join in...
