My brother and I are planning a 1 month road trip in february next year, we are planning to start off in porto alegre, looking for suggestions on possible routes to take with the limited time that we have there?

I was going to leave out going further north into brazil as i will be doing this after the road trip.

Any advice/suggestions are much appreciated.

I much prefer the northeast for beaches and culture.
The south I find uninteresting and therefore choose not to spend more time there.
Santa Catarina island has lots of (surfing) beaches, many overrun by Argentine tourists, and a bit of remaining Azorean culture. Praia da Rosa, an hour south of there, is a very pretty little cove which hosts whales in season. Not much else impressed me.

Hi Isadora perhaps you haven't noticed that all of these posts that you are dragging up are two years old..so not really necessary as far as the OPs are concerned.

Are you trying to build up a post count for some reason?
