Ecuador - Which airport for Banos stay? Quito or Guayaquil

Which airport should we fly in to if we are looking to stay in Banos? Quito or Guayaquil. Our purpose of the trip is to take our 21 year old daughter for a fun Spring Break trip and thought Banos offers zip lining, bungee jumping, rafting, ect... Any recommendations for hotel stays there? Read about Luna Runtun but bad reviews of late - food poisening. We want to stay about 6 nights so am open for lots of info and feedback. Thanks!

1.- Baños is a small town located 3 hours from Quito and 6 from Guayaquil. So, fly to Quito.
2.- Luna Runtun is a nice place with reliable food, but a little too far. I mean it´s on the top of one of the hills surrounding Baños, and not in downtown. I would recommend Hotel Sangay, or Hotel Palace, or even cheaper Hosteria Chamanapamba, or La Floresta. All of this places are very nice and recommendable.
3.- Baños is very nice small and touristic town, with a lot of activities to do with reasonable (cheap) prices, but, the only thing you have to think twice is the rafting because the rivers in this town are contaminate. Nevertheless, the other activities like horse ridding, daily short walks (4 to 5 hours)by your own, or bikking for 5 dollars a day (with cheap bikes of course) are unbelievable good. By the way, for the proper bikking trips with the best mountain bikes in Ecuador go to Riobamba and book "the trip" with Julio Verne Travel.
In the other hand, in Baños the bungee jumping that you mention is not organized as well as in Quito. This guys use the same climbing ropes that they use to climb the volcanoes, which is not save for this business. Instead of, I would recommend the "swinging bridg" wich is fun enough for young people.
Please let me know if my English was good enough to help you.
At your service,

Guillermo
The best hot springs in Baños "El Salado" one km away from Baños// The second best and open until evening "La Virgen" in downtown. Very close to the hotels i recommend you.
