Which is the name of the great Italian restaurant in Campana, Argentina?
Hello, avrooster and anyone that can help,
I am in Buenos Aires and I wish to go for lunch to a restaurant that someone told me it is excellent, probably one of the best Italian rstaurants in Argentina. It is located in
Campana some 75 kms from downtown. I read also some place that the family who owns it is from Bologna. Thank you.

Google was of no help at all in this case.
However, one of my many contacts (LOL) came up with the info:
ITALPAST
Dellepiane 1050
Campana
Phone: 0-3489-430433
He said it was supposed to be very good.
What else can I do for you, Graziella5b?

Thank you very much avrooster. I still have to muster some courage to drive all the way.
I looked into the website, it must be the same , the reviews are excellent, in my mind I
thought it was more of a family owned place, but it might as well be. I shall do my best to go
but ....I do not know if I shall do it...thank you again. Muchas gracias.

The website http://www.italpast.com.ar/index.html shows another phone number: 03489425275
There is another "branch", at the Sofitel in nearby Cardales, but the reviews are better for the original place in Campana: http://www.guiaoleo.com.ar/detail.php?ID=679
It seems to me to be a family-owned place: The chef Pedro Picciau, his mother, his wife, his son....
If you are in BA for a short time, I feel it doesn't make much sense to drive nearly 100 miles for good Italian food, which can be had in town in many places, such as the upscale http://www.sottovoceristorante.com.ar/en/sottovoce.php
