JFK TO MANHATTAN HOTELS

Is the shuttle bus I see referred to the same as the New York Airport Services bus that I have found on the net to take you into Manhattan from JFK? I see on the website for the latter, that you can book online. Has anyone done this and do you advice is in terms of demand for seats. We are arriving at 8.30pm. Thanks.

There is a Super Shuttle that delivers you to your hotel. It is more expensive than the NY Airport bus service. For all tranportation options go to www.panynj.gov.

I have used the New York Airport Services bus to get from JFK to GCT for $23/pp round trip. There were only 2 of us with 1 suitcase so this half the cost for a roundtrip cab ride for us. The bus is comfortable with plenty of room for luggage. We did not book in advance, arrived inthe morning before 9:00 AM, the bus came right along and we were in the cirty fairly quickly. There are buses at 8:40Pm, 9:10PM, 9:40PM, 10:10PM and if you are really late they run until 11:10. Very easy service to use and easy to find at the airport. You can purchase a ticket from the bus attendant, they will either be at the bus stop or on the bus, if you'll need it be sure to ask for the roundtrip ticket when you are paying for the JFK/Manhattan trip - you'll save some money. If you are going to a midtown hotel you will first got to GCT and switch to t smaller bus, if your hotel is close to wither GCT or the Port Authoirty, get off the bus and walk to the hotel. We used the shuttle from JFK to GCT and walked to our hotel.

See http://www.nyairportservice.com/jfk_manhattan.html for details.

I've also used NYAirportService and was very pleased with the price / performance / value. The first time I used it to between Penn Station & the airport, I decided I'd never use them for the smaller shuttles again ... it seems like they stopped at every hotel between GCT & Penn! So like "Margie" posted, I'd walk, take MTA bus, or a taxi from the NYAirportSvc stops at GCT or PABT.
