Disneyland's Haunted Mansion...Improved?

Now that the train-wreck-of-a-movie "Haunted Mansion" has come and gone, I'm assuming the Disney ride of the same name has reopened. Have any of you been on it? Is it really different than before it closed or is it largely the same?

Thanks.

I'm curious too, but they say the one at Disneyland Paris is far better than the one at WDW or Disneyland.

Oooh, something new! I'll have to check it out! I do remember when it first opened, it scared the living daylights out of people, and they had to close it down and make it more Disneyesque. It was fun before; it was fun later; and of course, it broke down so much, we always bet on where we'd have to stop.

My girlfriend and I started the audience participation screaming in the '70's when you get to the bottom of the elevator and the lights go out. I am proud to say, it still continues!

I was in Disney World this December and the ride is not different from the way it was many years ago.

Surfergirl: The original Haunted Mansion "Ride" was actually a "walkthrough" atttraction--and you're right, it was a lot scarier (although I was quite young when I went through it and might have been more easily influenced)

Beachdreams: I realize the one in DisneyWorld is the same as always (it opened much later than the one in California) however, they closed the one in California a couple/few years ago to revamp it.

Has anyone (who had been on it before) been on the one in California since it reopened?

Just so others aren't confused....Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is still in operation at DinseyLAND. It's gone from DinseyWORLD.
