Luxury Linen Stores in New York
I have seen a couple posts that reference discount linen stores in New York but never by name. I have done a search and cannot find anything. I am looking to buy some luxury bed linens but will wait until my trip to New York if it is worthwhile. Can anyone direct to me to any stores?

Luxury Linens is sort of an oxymoron. You could try the ABC Outlet.
For luxury linens, Pratesi (Madison around 70th), Portico (on Broadway around 20th) and I can't remember where Frette is located.
The cheapest place I've ever seen high count cotton sheets at over 400 would be a place like Tuesday Morning. Keeping in mind, a flat queen sheet will still cost right at $100. They don't come in sets.

Don't know where you've seen luxury discount linen stores mentioned. Some of the shops on the lower east side carry linens but I think they're more in the Charisma category. Discount chains like TJ Maxx will have some linens but it's hit or miss.
My best deals have been at Scweitzer linen (3 stores) when they've had sales on discontinued patterns. Here's their website

Tuesday Morning is a chain of stores that sell very high end items for cheap. Sort of the last place nice things that don't sell go to die.
You can buy Venetian Glass or Luxury Linens but don't expect to find the good colors and patterns. Very nice copper pots and pans in weird shapes. Discontinued Limoges china patterns but only the saucers. Things like that.
They sell discontinued Tumi Luggage.
They are only open certain weeks out of the year so they can keep the stores from being filled with junk.
I've never seen clothes or shoes for sale just home furnishings. They also have niche food products. Think apple flavored popcorn.
I think the website is TuesdayMorning.com.

Thank you for your replys. I am definitely looking for linens and bedding that is unique and upscale but at a lower price. The Schweitzer website fits that bill and I hope the others listed do too. I am prepared to pay $500-800 for a beautiful duvet cover but am having a hard time justifying the $1700-$2000 range I am finding for what I want.

There's a sale at Frette until March 11, according to New York Magazine
