Boulder, CO

Looking for personal dining recommendation in Boulder.
We’re celebrating a student birthday and would like other than a “quick & easy” meal, more than a burger & fries place.

Thank you for any suggestions .

If no one gives a personal recommendation, go to Yelp and read the reviews.

Here are a few suggestions, none are fine fining, more like "fun dining". All are on or near the Pearl Street Mall.

Dushanbe Teahouse - eclectic menu in a unique building

Postino

Sforno Trattoria Romana

The Rio - this gets the worst Yelp reviews, and I understand why, but it is a fun place

Thank you, PrairieHiker & Nelson. I was hoping Nelson would reply~I was happy with a previous dining mention from him.
I did check Yelp before posting and got ideas.
I purposely planned to visit on a non-football weekend…but didn’t realize our visit is FAMILY Weekend.

Glad to hear you liked one of my previous recommendations. Was that the one in Ault?!

FAMILY Weekend. Hoo-boy, make sure you have dinner reservations, but the mall should be a happening place. Have a great trip.

I wish I'd seen your post before! I think parents' weekend is past?

Most awesome place for a meal: Chautauqua Dining Hall. Sit on their open air patio and look at the Flatirons. Great food and service, surprisingly low prices.

Also an amazing place to hike, sightsee, catch a concert, or rent a cabin.
A must-do in Boulder!

Where did you end up going?

Boulder was first & last stop of a 2 week multi-state trip. We flew in/out of Denver.
I didn’t know it was Family Weekend when I set the date. Town & campus was jammed. Parking was a hassle.
Our main meals were lunch; we didn’t have a special birthday dinner due to granddaughter’s schedule.
We’ve been to Boulder many times before our “grand” was at CU…we were there to see her.
The weather was fantastic & we enjoyed our visit. We’ll go again, but I’ll check the calendar carefully.
