Due to a sore foot, I am trying to find a luxury hotel in Las Vegas that allows for a quick walk between the entrance/parking lot and the front desk, and from the front desk to the rooms. Most of the hotels in Vegas seem to require a very long walk from the parking lot to the front desk and then an even longer walk through a huge casino to get to the room elevators. An added plus would be a short walk between the restaurants and the room elevators. I am trying to minimize my steps. Does this exist in Vegas?

Non of the casino hotels that I can think of. I'd probably consider the Waldorf Astoria. Reception is on the 23rd floor and there is no casino.

i don't know if it qualifies as a luxury hotel - more like a boutique hotel - but the Cromwell is very small and the last time I stayed there the trip from the garage to the elevators was very quick.

Because the hotel is so small they only have one restaurant on the property and a Starbucks, though. So not a lot of options there.

Are you traveling with a companion? You may wish to consider borrowing/renting a wheelchair. The hotel may even be able to loan you one - it doesn't hurt to ask.

Good idea above! And if you are flying to Las Vegas definetly arrange for wheelchair service thru the airport(s).

I thought about renting a scooter but my husband says if I need to resort to that, he would rather not go at all. Has anyone been to the new Fontainbleau? I heard it has a smaller footprint and it looks like the reception desk is close to the room elevators without requiring a walk through the casino, as long as I am dropped off out front. Has anyone been there to verify this? Just wondering if that could work. I would not plan on walking the strip so that isn't a concern.

Cromwell is starting much needed renovations to rebrand as Vanderpump next spring so I wouldn't stay there right now.

NoMad is a boutique hotel within Park MGM and if you get dropped off at the NoMad entrance, reception is right there and elevators aren't far away. NoMad has it's own restaurant and bar plus you can access the restaurants at Park MGM which isn't a huge property by Vegas standards.

I've visited but not stayed at Fountainbleau. From what I can remember the elevators are fairly close to reception. I wouldn't necessarily call the footprint small but it's open and easier to navigate compared to many casino hotels. The restaurants I've tried have been very good and the spa facilities are excellent.

Are you specifically looking for a casino hotel? Do you plan to leave the property?

Yes my husband will want to visit the casino but if the property is interesting enough we may not leave the hotel. We have been to Vegas many times and have seen a lot that is there. If we do want to venture out I thought we would just Uber/Taxi so we could get dropped off directly where we are headed, instead of having to park and walk miles from/to the parking lot.

If you don't mind the far north Strip location, Fountainbleau could work if you get dropped off at north valet. It's still a fairly large property though. There's enough on property that you wouldn't need to leave.
