Hi, I am doing a 6 day group tour to Acadia National Park in late August but because of flight logistics I will get back into Bangor airport at 2:00 pm and fly out at 10:00 the next day. I’ve found several airport hotels that seem to offer a free shuttle to airport. Does anyone have a particular recommendation? Any ideas of something easy to visit for afternoon? Thank you!

Cole Transportation Museum in Bangor. Find out how they got the train cars in the building. You could also check to see if anuthing is going on a Leonards Mills logging museum. I think it's in Brewer. I don’t,t think the Cole has a restored Lombard Log Hauler but on one visit I saw photos of one. There's a family that has restored one that I saw at a special event at Owls Head Car Museum.
