Dallas Thanksgiving 2025
Hi all,

We are going to Dallas for Thanksgiving this year. Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations for:

1. Thanksgiving Dinner
2. Texas Barbecue
3. Southern Cooking

For the absolute best Texas style BBQ go to Pecan Lodge (https://pecanlodge.com). It consistently gets the highest ratings from locals and visitors alike.

Thank you RoamsAround! I had been to Ellen's downtown for southern cooking a few years ago but it looks like it closed. Pecan Lodge has a great menu!

We just did a trip to Dallas and went to Terry Black's. It was fantastic, particularly the brisket.

I read that the downtown location of Ellen's is closed for renovations, but I believe they have a second location in Casa Linda Plaza if you're interested.
