I'm finding it difficult to find a good place to stay in Savannah historic district that doesn't charge an arm & a leg for valet parking. Who has found a great place? I don't want in a basement or have to climb a lot of stairs. Prefer one with breakfast & in good location.

We’ve stayed twice in Savannah with a car, most recently in the fall of 2022 at the Hampton Inn Savanah District and a few years earlier at the Embassy Suites Historic District. Both included breakfast and self-parking. Probably a 5-7 minute walk to the heart of the Historic District. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at either again.

I really like Embassy Suites with their breakfast & happy hours. There parking is $40 a day charge but I might just have to go with it. I realize the historic district has limited parking.

I chose an apartment w/1 flight of stairs with included garage located right in the historic district. Can give the company if interested. I didn’t care for the riverfront or downtown area which is where the chain hotels are.

The azaleas flower last half of March and really make the trip extra worthwhile.

It's been since 2018, but we stayed at the Best Western Savannah Historic District. It was better than you would expect, and you can get a room on the ground floor. They include a free breakfast and free parking.

We stay mostly in the Hyatt and use public parking a block away, Whitaker Street garage for about $20 and have never had any problems with that.

We stayed at a lovely apartment (VRBO) with off street parking. Perfect location.walking distance to everything. It’s under “Charming Garden Suite on E. York St. 2 bed/2 bath, sleeps 6.
