There are hikes in the Pictured Rock National Lakeshore nearby. The boat ride to Pictured Rocks is run by a vendor and will sell out. Evening cruises have the best light.
Tahquamenon Falls State Park has good hikes.
The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum is worth the trek.
