roads in Saskatchewan in the second half of May + colors

hi everyone,

I'm going to road trip in Saskatchewan around May 20th, June 1st. I'll have a 2*4 car. the further North will be La Ronge. will all roads be easy to drive ? I will visit ghost towns. I looked on Google and the roads seem great but I don't want to be stuck in mud on a back road because of a heavy rain.

additional question : could you tell what the colors will be at that time ? winter brownish, almost green, really green ?
does it make a real difference from the border with the US to La Ronge ?

thank you vey much !

I'm talking about dirt and gravel roads on course. they seem not to be very gravely or dirty (as opposed to other areas of the world) but I'd rather be cautious.

Don’t know about backroads. Highways should be OK. It will still be pretty brown from border to Saskatoon. Crops not growing yet. When you get into the cities, it should be pretty green. As you head up towards LaRonge lots of scrub brush mixed with green.

Saskatchewan in May between Regina and Weyburn.
