New Mexico Itinerary
Planning a trip to New Mexico and will be flying in and out of Albuquerque and will be renting a car. I am looking for a suggested itinerary for a 10-day trip in May 2025.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here are some ideas for the Albuquerque area.
1. Old Town with historic Plaza features the 1706 San Felipe de Neri church and 300-year-old adobe homes converted into art galleries boutiques selling Native American pottery and jewelry.
2. The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Alb Museum of Art, History and Science which features ancient Spanish maps and Spanish conquistador armor and helmets.
3. The Sandia Peak Tramway takes you up 4,000 feet from the high desert floor to the lush mountain where there are fantastic views of the city.
4. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center shouldn’t be missed.
5: Acoma Pueblo: Sky City (1 hour west of Alb.) is amazing.
6. Be sure to eat traditional New Mexican food (different from TexMex) which includes green-chile stews, blue corn dishes, purple pinto beans, Chile rellenos, blue-corn enchiladas, Menudo, huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos, Posole, and Sopapillas. Check out Sadie’s of New Mexico.

We'll also be visiting, in June. It's a place we have been a number of times before, and we are also taking advantage of some timeshare availability, so our itinerary reflects that. However, we will be in Santa Fe for the first 5 nights after landing in Albuquerque, then a few nights in Chinle for Canyon de Chelly, then Taos for 4 nights, followed by Chama, then back to Albuquerque for a couple of nights at the end.
In Santa Fe, we'll revisit Bandelier and Los Alamos, as well as the Santa Fe museums and Canyon Road. Not sure what else yet. In Taos, we'll go to Taos Pueblo, of course. We'll spend some time people watching from the outdoor tables at the Adobe Bar (Taos Inn) - I like their chile rellenos and margaritas, although these days I forgo the margaritas. Chama is for a day trip on the Toltec and Cumbres Railroad. While in Albuquerque, we'll likely head over to Acoma Pueblo, spend a little time in Old Town, maybe the museum. Oh, and en route to Chinle, we'll stop at Window Rock as well as Hubbell Trading Post. In Canyon de Chelly, we'll hire a native guide for a day trip, haven't decided on which company yet.
Hope that helps you. I'm following this thread for further additions to our own trip. Have a great time.

In Santa Fe there is the Museum of International Folk Art
the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art
In Taos I would visit the Taos Art Museum, Fechin House which is a mix of local architectural materials with a Russian folk interior.
On the way to Taos from Santa Fe, stop by the Chimayo sanctuary
