Pls recommend Downtown Halifax restaurants
We will be in Halifax for a few days, staying downtown. Would prefer somewhere close to hotel for dinner upon arrival (downtown) area. We prefer casual dining, no fine dining on this trip. Any suggestions that you really enjoy would be helpful. The search results I got were over 10 yrs ago so not helpful. ty

Hello! Here are some of my favorites:
Salt and Ash: Smack dab on the waterfront, well-designed, excellent menu, not too expensive. Their happy hour is especially good. Sit as close to the front as you can.
Black Sheep: Downtown, one street off the waterfront. They have an inventive menu -- lots of fish -- and an excellent rooftop patio. Happy hour prices are a couple of dollars off small plates and drinks.
Pickford and Black-- on the waterfront. Craft beer and one step up from pub food. Very pleasant
Enjoy your visiit!
