I'm Jack, a 20-year-old currently deep in the world of apprenticeship, with a promising engineering career on the horizon. But here's the twist – I have a burning desire to explore the world.

I find myself stuck in what I like to call the "golden handcuffs" dilemma. On one hand, there's this secure, high-paying job that promises a stable future. On the other, there's this insatiable urge to see the world and embrace adventure.

I've heard suggestions like leaving and returning or trying to secure unpaid leave, but my workplace isn't very flexible in that regard. I could leverage my qualifications for similar jobs, but they wouldn't match the same financial benefits.
