Fodor's folks have written that one's passport shouldn't expire within 3 months of one's travel. My passport expires in June 2023 so I decided to ask the p.o. person how far in advance to get it renewed for possible March or April 2023 trip. She adamantly suggested 6 months in advance. She said much is delayed.

So FYI and please confirm or clarify.

I'm not going anywhere but mine expires in September this year. So I'll report back. Never heard of it taking 6 months before!
