Portland, Maine

I would like to know if any of you have
stayed at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, or the Portland Regency Hotel...
Which of the two is the best?
Thank you..

I used to live in Portland, and would go with the Portland Regency. There's also a newly remodeled Radisson which is also very nice. I can't picture where the Holiday Inn is.

I wouldn't recommend any of the two, I would try the Eastland. It's newly remodeled and is suppose to be great! Still close to intown if that is what you were looking for. If I had to choose one of them I would go with the Regency. Hope that helps.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites a few years ago. We like the breakfast and suites they offer.

I believe that the Radisson is what used to be the Holiday Inn (not the one by the Bay). It's right near a Shop & Save, and the Concord Trailways bus depot is behind it. It was there a couple of years ago when I was last there. Possibly it has been sold to another chain.
