Hookah Diving/Lime Tree Bay

Has anyone had any experience with Hookah diving? Can you recommend a place in the Keys to do it. Is it easier and/or better than snorkeling? Also looking for recommendations on Lime Tree Bay resort on Long Key.

My understanding is that you have an air hose attached to a system in the boat or on a raft and you don't have to be certified to dive but can go underwater for up to 2 hours while connected to the boat by the hose. They say it is really easy and simulates actual scuba without the certification, etc.

We stayed at Lime Tree Bay right after Christmas. It was fine, nothing special. We had a small older room but it looked like there were some newer large rooms, probably cost more. No beach but that's not unusual because there are hardly any beaches in the Keys anyway. It's a long way to any restaurants from Long Key except the one by the hotel, (Italian I think). The place we loved in all the Keys was Bahia Honda and would go stay by the water there anytime.
