In Mountain View I like Ken's House of Pancakes on El Camino near Grant Road. I not sure of any places that I would recommend in Santa Clara or Sunnyvale, but in San Jose there is an International House of Pancakes at First and Taylor which is also good. It is close to the Civic Center.

This is a serious question? Breakfast? Give me a break! Just eat at the hotel. It is not like this is a memorable occasion! Geeezzzzzzeeeeeeeee!

All the locals in San Jose/Santa Clara know HOLDER'S COUNTRY INN. Great breakfast and dinners also. There is one located on Saratoga Blvd near Saratoga and one on DeAnza Blvd in Cupertino. Family owned and no chain operation. It should fit the bill nicely for you. Enjoy!

Mmmmmm, Country Inn for sure! There's one in Santa Clara at Scott and El Camino in the Mervyn's Plaza shopping center. If you go get the swedish pancakes on the side (instead of toast). They are sooooo good. I've also heard very good things about Stacks in Campbell, but I've never been there personally.
