Then they should give me my Gold Watch and retire me, because I have posted enough for someone to make a bit of money to retire on
And while they are posting here, why not have a look at the Europe forums where they are running amok?
Thanks,

I say that all the fodors editors tell us about their travel experience and why they are qualified to be editors for travelers who have decades of travel and life's experiences. Does anyone else think that this is a reasonable expectation?

Actually, I'm not sure it is. They're not editors for you. They're editors for fodors' books only. If you don't like the books, then you don't buy them, but the editors certainly shouldn't have to justify having their jobs to a bunch of potential consumer.

jlm_mi and Keith, This is not a book web site (I have not bought their books in years) and its not a site for aspiring editors who went to Branson last summer (I hope not anyway). Editors need to post a permanent resume' of their travel experience so we can see what kind of travel experience they really have.
A statement from an editor such as "Oh trust us, we've been watching..." is a bit overbearing. Some of us do not trust you yet.

I guess that "Fodors Editor" thingie next to their names makes them of more questionable expertise than the average Fodorite. I could see how you could logically arrive at that conclusion. (sarcasm intended)
We all give and take travel advice from virtual strangers here all day long with no credentials or experience questioned...but because an editor wants to participate they must prove the quality of their advice?
Please give me a break.

Trust them to what? The one who posted to this thread haven't posted in months and hardly came across as dropping in to show off their expertise, when they did.
