Lyon Festival of Lights hotel help

We plan on coming to Lyon for Festival of Lights December 3-8. I understand there are security restrictions in place during that time. How would this effect my wife and myself getting to and leaving the Intercontinentall by uber or taxi from either the airport or train station? Any other suggestions for really nice hotels? Thanks!

Hi there. I don’t really have an answer to the first part of your question. As for accommodations, I would recommend Hotel de l'Abbaye. This boutique hotel is set inside a beautifully restored former presbytery facing the historic abbey, which gives the property a genuine sense of place and history.
Compared with a stay at the InterContinental, Hotel de l’Abbaye feels far more intimate and personal.
