London in April, especially around Easter, is it actually a good time to visit?

I’ve been looking into London for a spring trip and April keeps coming up as a nice middle ground. Not too crowded like summer, but still lively, especially with Easter and events around that time.

From what I’ve seen, there are things like the Good Friday performance in Trafalgar Square, small street events around Covent Garden, and later in the month the London Marathon, so it feels like there’s always something happening without it being overwhelming.

At the same time, I’ve also read that transport can be a bit tricky over the Easter weekend, so I’m not sure how much that affects the overall experience.

For those who’ve been in April, especially around Easter, did it feel like a good balance or was it still too busy or inconvenient?

If this is for 2026, you're very late in planning. Good Friday is a week away.

Beginning to think OP is farming this forum for content with the many random, varying threads they have started recently...

I agree, Travel_Nerd. This is perhaps the fourth post, all for spring trips, all different. People respond with helpful information, but the OP never returns to the thread. Maybe looking for information for a blog?

In the past 6 weeks, the OP has started 8 threads with questions about 8 different destinations/topics and not returned to respond to any of the nearly 50 replies.

I figured she was an aspiring travel writer/blogger and ignored.

Maybe she'll prove us wrong and come back to this - or any of her other threads - and convince us they are legit queries. But some of the questions definitely sound like researching for a blog with little or no knowledge of the topics/locations

Oh come on guys, maybe Bella really is planning a trip this spring to London, Peru, Rome, Monaco and Romania. And she's going to do all that between now and the last day of spring.
