I hope all of the countries that sent humanitarian aid continue to do so. And hopefully another country will get a spine and send more oil as well. Without a continuos supply of fuel, things will be difficult in Cuba. Jet fuel will also bring Canadian and other airlines back.

Relax mike, no communists here and no fans of the extortion attempts by the country to the north of Cuba either. Have you ever been to Cuba? Oh it’s far from perfect but a safe and wonderful destination just the same. Not all communist countries are created equal. The same goes for Capitalist ones as well. The degrees of good and bad for each are astounding.

Apparently, U.S. suppliers have shipped approximately 30,000 barrels of fuel to Cuba’s private sector this year to date, and shipments are growing further exponentially by the week. That free market economy is gaining strength in Cuba. GOOD! Perhaps soon, the Cuban people will no longer be reliant on the Cuban government to continue screwing things up for them economically. Hey there, Wess! The private sector are just private Cuban entrepreneurs who have the money available to buy those licenses and afford to buy and import the oil and other petroleum based products into Cuba. Contrary to popular belief, there are some very rich Cubans living there on the island too. There's many others as well who are being 'fronted' the money needed to buy those imports through Cuban family living abroad - their silent partners. I'm sure those Cuban-Americans living in Miami are all a buzz now about the potential to make some serious money themselves indirectly - and directly too. Once that begins to happen big time, they'll quickly forget about regime change in Cuba. The business of the USA - is business. All that matters is if they can make a buck! The same thing happened with China after all.

It’s a start and must be a huge relief even if temporary. The 2 aid ships from Mexico that were missing have now been spotted and are still on their way to Cuba. I wonder how long the goodwill from all will last this time.
