DAY 1 - San Sebastián to Vielha, Val d'Aran, North route through France. *Early night the night before, depart earlier so time for random stops along the way, and earlier lunch and dinner, to leave time for pubs in Vielha. Site seeing: Restaurant du Pic du Midi, some of the best mountaintop restaurant views in the Pyrenees, top of the gondola, small bite, beers. I'm sorry, but I'm finding it extremely hard to follow your plan. If you want input, I'd advise you to restate your plan in a way that makes it clear what you plan to do when, in temporal sequence, perhaps eliminating all the commentary....

I loved Taull. I'm not sure you are giving it enough time, but of course that depends on what you want to see and experience there.
