Is it possible to find a guide in Northwest Namibia?
Hello, excuse my poor english, but if anyone speaks English, please message me privately. I'd like to rent a 4WD in Windhoek and then head north on my own. Along the way to the North, I'd like to find a guide and continue the journey with him, but I don't know where. Can anyone give me some advice or point me to a reliable guide who lives in northern Namibia? If you have a phone number, I'd be very grateful.

I need a guide for this very reason: if there's any problem with the car, he knows how to deal with it. I have an international driving license and can drive myself. In fact, I recently went to Lake Turkana on the Kenyan side. But are the roads very bad in the northwestern part of Namibia? I've already been to Opuwo, and the road is beautiful. I spent a few days with the Himba people, and it was wonderful. I don't know how the even more western part of Namibia is; it has good roads. I wouldn't want to return to Opuwo, but I'd like to see other things. A very important question for me, please: in the very western part, further west than Opuwo, are there any interesting ethnic groups? Thanks.

Thank you for the helpful information. However, I was referring to a local guide who lives in the north. He could be a perfectly ordinary person with a different profession who occasionally works as a guide for fun and out of a desire to help others.

I'd like to visit Kaokoland in March. Can you tell me if that's the right month?
I've read, but I might be wrong, that the rivers might be in flood and there's a risk of not being able to return. Am I wrong or is it a good month to visit Kaokoland?
If you know the Kaokoland west of Opuwo well, can you give me some information?
Thanks.
