Main market for fish, A PISCARIA, and for veg and fruits, at PIAZZA CARLO ALBERTO. Mornings only, until about 1pm.

Catania restaurant: LE TRE BOCCHE

Food markets: A Piscaria for fish and a few other things like fruit, and the market at PIAZZA CARLO ALBERTO.

AT night the fish market turns into restaurant row; we like VUCCARIA KITCHEN MARKET.

Cannot help with Nicosia, but in Catania I love Mm Street Food. https://mmstreetfooddotcom.wordpress.com/
The are in the heart of the Catania market. I always go there when I am in Catania and I have never been disappointed. It is so good.

I had a very good meal last October at Bavetta - https://www.osteriabavetta.com/en/home-en/

We've only been to Nicosia once and ate in the Villa Bruno restaurant. If memory serves it was very good, with fresh fish and and good pasta. It was 3/4 years ago, so things may have changed.
