Last minute trip to Sicily, where to go if San Vito Lo Capo is fully booked?
Hello all!
In 2019, I had the absolute best holiday of my life with my husband and then 10-month-old son in San Vito Lo Capo. There was literally nothing I disliked — the locals were wonderful, the food was phenomenal, and the beach… hands-down the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen. We also visited Erice and Palermo and loved both.
Since then, life got in the way and we haven’t made it back to Italy, until now! 😄
I just booked very last-minute tickets to Rome, and my goal is to head straight down to the Trapani region.
We’re flying in less than 30 days (yes, I’m mildly panicking), and finding accommodation in San Vito has been rough. I haven’t bought our Rome–Sicily flight yet, so I’m open to flying into either Trapani or Palermo.
Could you recommend any other beach towns near Trapani that give off the same relaxing, “beach-food-sleep-repeat” vibes as San Vito? Ideally, a place where we won’t need a car, and we can just walk to the beach, grab gelato, eat well, and chill.
Our family has grown since that trip, our 10-month-old is now 7, and he has a 4-year-old little sister. So a sandy beach with umbrellas for rent is ideal. But I also get that I’m booking super late, so I’m open to hidden gems, small towns, even laid-back resorts if they fit the vibe.
Grazie mille in advance!
