Can someone give me some suggestions to my Norway itinerary?

Backdrop:
1. Total 7 days in Norway and the departure flight is around 6 PM on the 7th day
2. The inbound and outbound flights are within Schengen
3. The Norway portion of my trip is solo, so I will not rent a car to drive.
4. It's in late May
5. I will fly into Bergen or Ålesund in the morning on the 1st day
6. I don't want to spend too much time in museums
7. I'm an average hiker

Below is the itinerary. I'm wondering what needs to change. Also, are Bergen and Bergen to Flåm not as scenic as the other days and should I skip them?

Day 1: Fly into Bergen, explore Bergen
Day 2: Bergen to Flåm, then to Gudvangen on ferry
Day 3: Gudvangen to Geiranger on bus and/or ferry
Day 4: Geiranger to Ålesund on bus, explore Ålesund
Day 5: Fly to Oslo, explore Oslo
Day 6: Day trip to Flåm
Day 7: Explore Oslo and depart

I'd make my time in Oslo all one visit
I'd train into Oslo rather than fly, the scenery is better
I'd go to Flam before Oslo
Bergen to Flam is scenic

When are you going? The Hiking in December is completely different to that in July, not least the number of hours of daylight are amazingly different. In July you can go for a 5 mile hike after supper, in December you want to be home by 3pm

Also look into where an express bus might take you from Bergen and maybe factor in a day' s sailing on Hurtigruten, eg from Alesund

Svalbard if you have the time! It's outside the Shenghen area and is entirely visa free. Plus, depending on the time which you go, you're either in complete darkness or 24/7 light whilst you're there. A must do, and they have an amazing culture there which everyone should experience.

So I'm going to repeat what you've expressed and then ask a few questions...

I am confirming that...
You are spending 7 days in Norway
You are flying into Bergen
You think you want to explore Bergen but you also want to
Explore a lot of the fjords and mountains in the area
You are going in LATE May--pretty good sunlight
You DON'T want to spend your time in museums
You DO want to explore Oslo

My questions:
Are you flying out of or training out of Oslo at the end?
While you want to explore Oslo, you don't want to be stuck in its museums? What DO you want to do there?
You DO want to hike, right?
Will you be bringing light hiking poles?
Are you interested in some socialization--a bar scene, etc--in towns where you stop?
Are you interested in zip-lining, cycling, etc?

All this would help.

But before you respond, I have to tell you that based on our last summer's trip, if we were younger (we are now old as dirt), we would NOT be sticking around Bergen. As former active travelers (and I was never some Olympic athlete, believe me), we'd be heading for the hills and doing every type of physical activity possible. We would have been meeting up with cyclists and hikers around Voss and so on.
Also note, we did more flying that we had originally planned. It was a good decision simply because there's only so much scenery one can take in on long train journeys. It becomes like watching TV--you are removed from what you are seeing too much.

I am very interested in your answers, and I hope your planning goes well.

AlessandraZoe, thank you so much for the reply.

1. Yes, I'm flying out of Oslo to another country.
2. After some research, it seems that Oslo is not an interesting place. I will probably skip it instead.
3. No, I won't bring the hiking poles and very light on hiking, due to my recent injury of my right knee. Still recovering, hopefully it will be fine then. But I want to be on the cautious side.
4. Not interested in the night life. It's more about the scenery and food.
5. I did zip-ling before, so I will skip it this time.

Here is my revised tentative itinerary. Any suggestion to modify it?

Day 1: Fly to Bergen in the morning, explore Bergen
Day 2: Bergen - Voss - Myrdal - Flam - (via cruise) - Gudvangen - (via shuttle bus) - Flam - Aurland (Stegastein viewpoint)
Day 3: Aurland – Sogndal – Loen (Loen Skylift) – Hellesylt
Day 4: Hellesylt - (via cruise) - Geiranger – Ålesund
Day 5: Explore Ålesund in the day and then take train to Åndalsnes in late afternoon
Day 6: Leaving Åndalsnes at 7:18 AM to arrive at 12:48 PM in Oslo by train

bbsquest--I have to say I like your itinerary. We ourselves found Oslo to be very interesting--we are going back as soon as their Viking Museum opens--but I can understand that not everyone finds urban areas as interesting as we do. Even though you're not hiking, you're still actively immersing yourself in the scenery. I could have spent a month "rolling around" in that scenery.

Please enjoy your trip FOR us.

Geiranger

A decade ago I did the so called Norway in a nutshell trip from Oslo and another trip I went to Geiranger fjord starting from Lilliehammer, train, ferry and too much bus return to Oslo in June.

I preferred Geiranger to Sognefjord. Great snow capped mtns. Alesund wonderful art deco architecture.

I will try to paste from my G trip report in case it is helpful. I can also look for earlier nutshell trip report. Here is first part.
(I returned via bus and train through Lom.)

Started with Train from Lilliehammer.

The ride down to Andalsnes was scenic with narration and pauses at some scenic views--couldn't get off the train or open windows, so photos were limited. In Andalsnes, two scheduled buses were waiting to take people onward to Molde and other destination. Took bus to Geiranger.
the Trollstigen (Troll's Road) was a "must do" and I must agree. The bus stopped briefly at the base of the waterfall, paused on the bridge, and then stopped for ~ 15 minutes at the visitor center at the top. Stunning is the only word I can think of for the view back down the switchbacks to the valley below with the gushing waterfall (manipulated by man). Some of the passengers did leave the bus here, maybe catching a later bus on or back or else hiking.

Our small group was all smiles as we continued through the rugged snow capped mountains and down to the town of Valldal where we dropped two more passengers who were catching a later bus back to Andalsnes. On we go to a small ferry ride during which go outside and snap photos. Then back on the bus and on to one of those "wow" moments when we first popped over the mountain and could see Geiranger Fjord in bright sunshine, one cruise ship at dock, Thank goodness the bus stops once or twice at viewpoints for photos. Switchback after switchback. I asked the driver where to catch the bus up to Dalsnibba for the 2-hour roundtrip from G.

The ferry to Hellesylt just ok,long. boarded the bus to Alesund. Loved walking in town, snapping photos of every building and climbing above town for the view.
