Hi, my partner (mid to late 30s) and I are heading back to China for 16 days in April 2025. I have been to Shanghai (x2), Beijing (x2), Great Wall (x2), Chengdu, Chongqing, Harbin, Xian. My partner has not been to Chengdu or Chongqing.

I would like some advice on destinations this time around. We fly into Hong Kong and fly home from Beijing. We plan to travel by train.

We have booked 3 nights in Hong Kong, and 3 in Beijing, that leaves 9 nights to plan. Initially we were thinking:

Hong Kong 3n
Yangshou 3n
Chongqing or Chengdu 4n
Wuhan 2n
Beijing 3n

We like big cities, countryside, villages, local food, local bars, live metal music

Any help would be awesome
