Book of Kells Experience - Help!

Hello all, we are going to Dublin in early June and I am trying to book tickets to see the Book of Kells.

As I understand it, Trinity college has made many changes in the past few months to view the manuscript. They have removed many of the books in the Library and installed an art piece, and built a new pavilion to house a digital “Experience” you walk through (I guess).

On the website there are three options: “Book of Kells Experience"(90 minutes suggested time spent); “Book of Kells Experience plus Trinity Trails” (120 minutes, a guided tour plus the experience); and finally “Book of Kells and Old Library”. We don’t want the Experience or the guided tour, but when I go on to book that third option - just to see the Book and the library - there is absolutely nothing available through the whole time (today through September). https://www.visittrinity.ie/book-of-kells-experience/

Can someone who has actually BEEN to this Experience tell me what it involves? Is it centering on the Book of Kells and history, or other things? I would really appreciate it!

Thank you so much, Janisj, for the reviews. Has anyone else gone recently?
