Hi! We will be visiting PA for first time next week. We’ll be in Greensburg for a few days and then need to drive to Erie. We don’t want to drive thru Pittsburgh, looking at map trying to create a drive NOT on interstate, more thru small towns and countryside. Can anyone suggest routes for us from Greensburg to Erie? Thank you!

PA route 66 north to Rt. 422 (Kittanning), US 422 west to US 19 (just west of the Interstate), US 19 all the way to Erie. You might want to get on the Interstate near Meadville. What's the plan for Erie? Presque Isle SP is nice.
