Bayeux hotel/restaurants?
We will be spending 5 days in Normandy in September and have elected to stay in Bayeux as a centrally located but easy in-out place to take day trips (we will have a car, planning Mont St-Michel, D-Day beaches, Honfleur, Deauville/Trouville). We would be grateful for hotel and restaurant suggestions in Bayeux. Thanks!

We dined at Lion D'Or on both trips to Bayeux and enjoyed it very much. Cheese cart and that kind of service. Memorable meal.
We actually stayed at a hotel a block or two away; can't recall the name, sorry!
There is a Calvados tasting room right in town with years' old Calvados. We brought a bottle home! It is powerful, though, and a little goes a long way. We enjoyed it most in an aperitif at Lion D'Or.

In 2015 I stayed at the Hotel d'Argouges for 2 nights. It was a lovely property with a charming outdoor area and breakfast room. I always wanted to return for a longer stay. In fact, we plan to reserve it again for our trip later this year.
Enjoy your visit.
