Gpx...just follow the side of the lake. The paths are easy and well signposted. A walk in the park.

Note that gps does not need a phone account, so download local maps before you go.

if you really do need help look at the lake constance section of mybikeguide.co.uk which includes links to German publishers of the route map/GPS.

Thank you very much.
The UK information are good although many of the links dont work. Yes I guess that when biking along the lake this is easy. But on what side of the river should we bike from Stain on Rhein to the Rheinfall. Also the way to and from Salem is not obvious.

How is it with the ferries, do you have to book in advance and are there some discount available.

On ridewithgps.com or mapmyride.com there are many routes mapped out.

Here's are examples of some that you can copy and edit/parse.

My son and I cycled some of this some years ago. I'm pretty sure this is once of the sites I referenced at the time https://www.bodensee-radweg.com/radweg-bodensee. They offer luggage transfer as well as tours. The path - at least the bits we did - was clearly marked. You can also take bikes on the lake ferries if needed.

The bikeline blue books are by far the best for this sort of tour. I think you can get this one in English and German
