Road Trip from Las Vegas to Washington DC
I am thinking about doing this trip at the end of November/beginning of December. What route would be best to avoid snow? This trip isn't for fun - more to get from point A to B. I'll be the only driver and will be traveling with a dog. Thanks!

I think the most logical route might even be the fastest and would avoid snow. Just take I40 east through Albuquerque, OK city, and Nashville and then get onto I81 around Knoxville and go NE up to I66 into DC. I've driven that route. In fact, I do the last part several times in the winter as I live in DC area and go skiing down towards bottom of VA. I81 and I66 are easy in winter being major interstates. Sure, there can be some freak one day snow/ice storm but you can't predict that. And the odds of that with global warming are pretty zilch, it doesn't even snow that much in VA/DC area much any more, unfortunately for skiing. But even when it does, it isn't Thanksgiving or early December, that's for sure, it's more Jan-Feb.
I don't see any alternative to the above route. because the other choices would take I70 and go through Colorado and then maybe NE or KS, and obviously there is some possibility of snow there more than the southern route.
