Botswana In November or April?

I understand about the financial of advantages of going off season. One travel agent has told me that April will cost about 50% more than the same places in late November and early December. However, I'm told November and December are very hot. I'm wondering how hot it really might be in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Okavango Delta, which is where we think we'd primarily be. We would be in lodges without air conditioning. Would we be miserable in the lodges during the day or in the sun on game drives or boat trips? I don't like heavy humidity but maybe dry heat wouldn't be so bad. Would it be better to just go in April instead? One person who returned from a safari in November/December 2017 in those places described the climate as Mediterranean. Also, would we most likely encounter quite a bit of rain or cloudy days in November/December?
