Wineries in San Diego Please...

Hello, will be in San Diego with our 3.5 year old daughter, staying on Mission Bay at the Catamaran. We are looking to visit a couple wineries that are up to approx. 45 minutes drive away and close to one another to do on same half day trip. Looking for something with lovely views, child friendly & maybe a dining area to have some lunch or just sip on a glass or two. Then have a nice bottle to bring back to our room.

Any recommendations? First time in San Diego...Thanks in advance!

Temecula has many nice wineries, but is not that close. Traffic would make it a longer trek.

Wineries are not child friendly. People who go to wineries do not want to be around a toddler.

I have seen parents keep to the outdoor areas with a small child, where they bother other people outside, but even that has been rare.

What you are looking for is called a restaurant.

There are a couple in Escondido.

And one in Rancho Bernardo, an upscale suburb of San Diego.

San Diego is known more for craft beer than wine.
