Our first trip to Ireland is scheduled for May 2 - 17, I have scheduled the following:
Day 1, 2 3 - Dublin
Day 4, 5 - Kilkenny
Day 6, 7 - Wateford
Day 8, 9, 10, 11 - Kenmare
Day 12, 13 - Dingle
Day 14, 15, Ennis
Day 16 Depart

How many of you would skip Waterford and add Galway? Is there enough to see in Waterford for 2 days or should I skip it and head west?

If you want to add Galway take a night from Waterford and a night from Kenmare so slip Galway and a day out into the Connemara between Dingle and Ennis.

The more I read about Waterford, the more I want to just continue on to the west coast

I would choose Galway over Waterford. Lots to see and do, one our favorite areas.

Where are you staying in Kilkenny Mike? The only reason I ask is because I unexpectedly spent 47 days there and really liked where I stayed at.

Never been to Waterford, but Galway was probably my favorite city I visited in Ireland.

Forced to make a choice I would choose Galway, having visited both.

BTW, I have a brother who is Mike J and he was born in '48!
