Seven dials area to Heathrow
It's been a few years since I've flown out of Heathrow. Into, often, but usually home from another European city.
We have 10:30 AM flights to U.S. from Heathrow on a Tuesday morning. This means we should be there around 9:00 AM for comfort.
Staying at Radisson Mercer Street in the Seven dials.
Am thinking of going with JustAirports, which quotes 45 pounds. Heathrow Express I'd have to pay around 15 pounds for a taxi to Paddington, then 33 pounds for the train. So money is a tossup.
If you'd take Justairports, what time would you have them pickup? Same question if you vote for taxi to Heathrow Express.
At that time of day, what would you do? I'm not going to take the tube all the way to Heathrow with luggage during rush hour, so that's not an option.

I'm thinking a whole bunch of people, and the airline, and LHR are going to recommend you be there at least two, if not three hours ahead.
I usually take the Tube from Covent Garden (right down the street from your hotel, more or less) since I do not have to change and I sit "all that luggage" down at the end of the car, take a seat, and relax.
I understand your decision not to take the Tube; I've also done a taxi all the way to LHR and early in the morning I've given myself an hour for that taxi ride in and of itself.

7:30 for justairports 'should' be OK. I'd personally probably aim for 7:00. Which airline/terminal?
but if you are flying in the premium cabins you get expedited security and check in so 8-ish would be fine.

I take the tube constantly, travel very light (largest bag I ever take is 21 inches) and I would typically use a car service/justairports for this journey. The hike to the tube station, the lifts at Covent Garden, and the hike from the tube station at LHR - it just turns into a schlepp compared w/ door to door with justairports.

Thanks Janis for your comments here and on my other thread. Great data point tuscanlifeeddit! Think I will schedule JustAirports for 7:45. We can eat something in the lounge that way.
