Shaftesbury is a nice idea with good views to the south and Golden Hill. Dorchester can be pleasant especially with the massive earth castle so close but access to Stonehenge is further.

I didn’t realize daughter has been to UK so often.
lll definitely file all these pertinent suggestions for another time.
Switching countries, looking at France.
Thank you for kind comments, Ill be ready when we do visit England..
