Hi all again! Thanks for all your input!!

I have finally settled all accoms. Some pretty cool stuff that happened - I managed to shorten my stay at Yosemite by 1 night without incurring any cancellation charges, and also snag a motel at Monterey at a reasonable rate. Here's my latest itinerary.

1-3 Aug Seattle (2)
3-5 Aug Forks (2)
5-6 Aug Mt. Rainier (1)
6-7 Aug Seattle (1)
-7 Aug 6pm flight from Seattle to Oakland-
7-11 Aug San Francisco (4)
11-13 Aug Yosemite (2)
13-14 Aug Monterey (1)
14-15 Aug Cambria (1)
15-16 Aug Santa Barbara (1)
16-19 Aug San Diego (3)

As for our transport in Seattle, we intend to rent the car on 3 Aug morning to travel to Olympic National Park as it'll save us approx $200. We would be taking the Link Light Rail and bus from SeaTac to our accoms. As for our return dates, I am vacillating between these two options. Price difference is approx $80.

Option 1 - return car on 7 Aug morning, take Link Light Rail and bus from accoms to SeaTac. $300 car rental, more inconvenient.
Option 2 - return car at airport before flight. $380 car rental, more convenient.

How easy/difficult is it to travel from SeaTac to downtown? Also, how is the traffic like on the roads on a Friday 4pm? Historical data on Google Maps seems to point to a 1-hour travel by car, which appears to be about the same if I were to take public transport.

Would appreciate any advice! Thanks!!

Hello slothandrabbit, so my bf and I are planning quite a similar trip for late july-beginning of August (21-23 days).

I have read your plans and all of the community which are awesome, but I am very interested in knowing about how all it went and what are your recomendations regarding your plan? What would you change of it? Was it enough time?

Thank you sooo much for your help.

alcoyde - Please start a new thread with your questions.
slothsndrabbit never came back to give us a trip report.
Try looking at a big map and put pins in at the things you want to see to plan a route.
