Transport Rio - Paraty

Can anyone advise if there are buses from Rio to Paraty? Long is the ride and the approximate rates? I am planning Paraty at the end of the trip and would like to take a bus back from Paraty in time to catch a international flight at 6pm. Is this practical?
Also is there a website for the Hotel Vermont?
Thanks!

Wow... Take a taxi from Hotel Vermont to Rio central station for buses. Rio -Paraty round trip is about $ 26 US. Trip is very nice up and down the mountains, stop at several locations. Clean bus, air conditioned and lots of tourist.
Not aware of web site for Vermont, have stayed there 3 times, what info you need for hotel?
I think first bus from Paraty to Rio is at 630AM, about 3 1/2 trip...plenty to make it to Rio. Take taxi from bus station to Intl Airport.
Buses are right on time, unusual for Latin America, but they are...
You will love Paraty..

there are plenty of local buses 1.5 reias that go to the RIO NOVO bus terminal (which is the terminal where numerous bus companies leave to go to Paraty). There is also an airconditionado bus that also gos to the rio novo station its about 4 reias. taken a cab will be much more money.

Muita obrigada pela resposta.

I am now trying to determine it it is better to take the bus to Sao Paulo after Paraty or back to RIO. Does anyone know if it is any quicker to return to one over the other? My flight will go from Rio-SP-Chicago in either case so we would eliminate an extra leg of flight if we did bus to SP. I would only want to do it if it makes sense...is it an easy transfer from bus station to airport in SP? or Rio?
Thanks for your replies and knowledge!

Bus to Sao Paulo from RIO is about 9 hours away. I think?

If you leave from Paraty I don?t know if there will be buses direct to Sao Paulo. Anyway why travel for hours (possible hit traffic) if you can get to Sao Paulo in 45 minutes by plane? Stick with the extra leg, its worth it.
