Non adventure seeking mid- late 60s in Costa Rica in May

I'm trying to help my parents with a week trip to CR. They have access to a time share with Interval. We are looking at the Parador Hotel in Quepos.

The reviews on TA are pretty good.

I'm wondering what kind of activities they can do they keep busy for a week. They both have knee issues so they have some physical limitations.

I thought they could do a guides nature walk in MA. And a river float. And some beach time. I'm wondering if this is the right trip for them. What else can they do?

We have rented a car on our trips to CR and I don't think it's what I would recommend to my dad.

They have heard us rave about CR for years and I don't want to steer them in the wrong direction!

There's the Damas mangrove tour - a fun boat ride through the mangroves looking for wildlife - that's a popular one. We loved it. Also a guided tour of the national park. Manuel Antonio Expeditions is great for both of those. The park is really pretty flat with wide paths. We also really liked the Villa Vanilla spice tour; you walk through all the gardens and see fresh vanilla beans, cinnamon, etc. and at the end they serve you beautiful little desserts, and there's a great view. Also a little shop at the end if you want to buy any fresh spices. We loved just relaxing out on our balcony too and relaxing at the beach. I could do that every day.

One other thing we did was a croc boat tour on the Rio Tarcoles; we loved it. It would involve some driving though. I do think a week is a little long to spend in that area unless they want lots of beach time.

The hotel you mentioned has all kinds of tours/activities listed on their website, too.

Jose's Croc Tour is the one we used, although I think they are all probably pretty similar.
