El Salvador to Costa Rica

Hello there. My fiance and I will be flying from LA to Costa Rica with a connecting flight in San Slavador. We change from Taca 531 to Lacsa 671 (but arent they the same company?) and we only have 50 mins to change flights!! Will this be enough time? Has anyone done this?

There is no Lacsa Airlines anymore. It was absorbed into Taca years ago, but some of the flights to and from Costa Rica have a "Lacsa" designation. It'll still be a Taca plane and flight crew.

Fifty minutes is fine. You don't have to go through passport control or customs because you never officially enter El Salvador. You just walk to your connecting gate, which should be very close. I've done this many times.

I also find the Taca agents at the airport in El Salvador to be very good about directing passengers to their connecting gates. There'll be someone there as you disembark from your first flight to help you if you need it. Really, it should be fine.

Jeff is correct - no problem with a short connection in San Salvador. Not like changing planes in LA
