Will the turtles be nesting in May?

Yes there will be as these tours are from about March through November.
I have been told that the best time is late July when the Green Turtles come in quite large numbers to lay their eggs .
I was on the turtle egg laying tour four months ago at Playa Grande to see the Giant Leatherback turtles lay their eggs.
If you get to see the turtles lay eggs,it really is an experience.

I've been curious about this as well. We always thought (and read) that turtle nesting time was July-October. Our only chance to get there this year (haven't been before) is the first week of July, and I was afraid it would be too early for the turtles to be "out in full force". Perhaps we'll see nesting turtles after all!

Leatherback Turtles come here (but not a lot like at Playa Grande) from about March to July...
The very peak season for the Green Turtles is from about the end of July to September 1st... I did all this turtle research work when I was planning my turtle egg laying tour.
But don't worry shillmac, I will phone some Green Turtles and ask them if they could come a bit earlier in July !!!!
Anything to help !!
