Yes, Bermuda was very different for us too! Being on a cruise though we got to experience the island during the day, and then head back to the ship for our meals and it was our "hotel" as well. That was a great mix for us. I think it made it much more economical too! And loved the business attire - Bermuda Shorts!

As for the travel business - yup! I did it! There's some information on my blog, but I love planning trips for other people. I've enjoyed planning my own travel for so long that I just had to figure out a way to finally do it for others. Last year we went to Europe for three weeks. We combined 2 cruises and 7 days on land and when I planned that - I sort of knew that I could do this "for real"! Thanks for asking!

xyz99 - I am currently blogging about our Bermuda trip, and our Europe trip from last year is covered in much detail as well! I really started blogging after going to Belize a few years ago. Thanks vg for the confidence boost! So far I'm really enjoying it. I haven't been to the Springs Resort, we were planning a day pass there on our last CR trip and every time we tried to visit there were major thunder storms!

I saw a mention above of the Galapagos...that would be my vote for you! Or how about a safari! Those are my two bucket list trips! Well, I'm sure I can think of at least a dozen more, but those are the first two that come to mind!

Never been to Bermuda, but we are doing a safari next year and most likely Galapagos the following one. Great minds...

I started writing the blog because I really wanted to share the photos. But then I realized how much I loved telling the travel stories! But you'll notice there are huge gaps in time, especially in the beginning....I did tend to get off track. I have tried to be a bit more disciplined with myself though and even when I'm not traveling I try to post about trips that I took in the past.

You're going to be doing two of my dream trips! In 2 years Galapagos....hmmmm???? That would be fun!

He-he....I think they are everybody's dream trips. For us it's South Africa next year, and yes, hopefully, if all is well, Galapagos the following year. Can't wait...
We got back from Italy a month ago, and no more trips (except for a long weekend in Boston for Labor Day)until next Feb (Curacao). That's a very long wait...

I'm glad you made it to Belize volcanogirl...we loved LOL and also Chan Chich.

I am actually perusing Fodor's for information on another potential BdC get together. I've been spending much more time on TA since they seem to have more activity regarding the places we've been lately.

Are you aware of anything at BdC in the planning stages? We've been trying new locales, but hubby and I were discussing at dinner the other night how much we enjoyed the Osa! However, we're already booked for our 2015 trips, so I was wondering about next year.

Deb, I haven't heard anything about next year yet. I don't think they would have anything planned this far ahead of time. Good luck with your taxes - hope a big refund is headed your way. Yes, we loved Lamanai Outpost Lodge. Hope to make it to Chan Chich someday too!
