Sounds like we have the exact same itinerary. When are you going to C/R?
Thanks for the advice on using gailalink. We have been debating on what company to use and whether to use a private or semi-private driver. When you did your research on private drivers did you find that one company was priced better then the others? Gailalink is kinda expensive he quoated me $430.00 for your exact itinerary.

Compared to cost of renting a vehicle(4x4) + the manditory insurance, it comes out to be about the same as doing private transfer. Difference is that I know they only use the best drivers, who speak English and are really your own private tour guide. Can you do a little cheaper, yes, but you get what you pay for. Not sure if you booked hotels, etc, with them, but they are known for checking on you throughout your trip to make sure everything is going Ok. You have many, many choices in picking private transfers. I chose to go with a known company. Your other option is to do semi-private transfers with Fantasy or Interbus, but I had no desire to ride with others and be on their schedule. I just like the idea of leaving when I want, stopping for a beer or lunch along the way + having a guide who will show us things we may have missed if I was driving myself. I'm on vacation, so the less stress I have is what it's all about. I've driven 2 out 3 trips and for me a private driver is the way to go

Thanks for the advice. I know your right about hiring a private driver. Money is the only issue. We will be in CR, 5/13-5/21. SJO-1,M/A-2 ,Arenal-3, Peace Lodge-2. I assume TxTrav1 means you live in Texas. What part?
