Tulum Coast or Puerto Vallarta
I'm currently planning a Honeymoon trip to
Mexico and would like to know which area is
better to visit during early August, 1st through the 6th? I realize that this is the start of Hurricane season and I'm not sure if I should avoid the Tulum Coastline?
I would also appreciate any advice on the Westin Regina "PV", Marriot Casa Magna "PV", Allegro Resort "Tulum Coast" Iberostar Quetzal "Tulum Coast"

Thank you all in advance and any help is greatly appreciated.

Greg,

As this is a Honeymoon, I would avoid Tulum and most of the Carribean at that time of the year. The beaches are better but what good is that going to do if it's raining all the time? Not great memories. PV is not going to have this factor. Maybe rain in the late afternoon or evening, but not hurricane conditions. Camino Real has a much better beach than the Westin Regina or the Marriot and is very romantic.

Hi Greg,
I have just come back from Mexico City, Taxco & Acapulco and I have visited PV twice & Cancun, (although I have not been to Tulum). All I can say is PV is the best place. PV is very good for couples, the beaches are wonderful, trips are great, really good restaurants. I stayed at The Allegro Resort, which was then The Diamond and thoroughly enjoyed it, although this is located at Nuevo Vallarta, and is a bit of a way out of the centre. On my second trip I stayed at the Qualton Club Hotel & Spa(next to the Holiday Inn)which is nearer the centre which was really nice - check this one out. Anyway contact me if you need any further information. Having travelled to Mexico 4 times I would recommend PV staright away.

Thank you very much Jo,

I'm considering staying at the Westin Regina, Marriot Casa Magna or Krystal Vallarta. Do you know anything about these resorts. Quality & location?

Thank you again for your help.

P.S. I have decided to go to PV instead of the Tulum Coast Line.

Greg

Hola Greg and future bride!
I am so glad that I didīt need to convince you to come to PV. I think that you got excellent advice! I have lived here for many years and I do think that you should consider Camino Real, or La Jolla de Mismaloya. Both on a semi-private beach, luxury and much more romantic.
Vallarta is also one of the world's 10 more popular places to be married!
Take care and if you have more questions please contact me!
