Trying to locate a town near Colombia?
I am looking to find out ANY information on a small town 75 miles South East of Colombia. I may not have the correct spelling it is Quaduas. Please contact me if you have any information on this destination.Thank you.

Colombia is a country which borders Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Panama and Ecuador.
If the town is south east of Colmbia it could potentially be in any of the above countries except Panama.

Actually, Punani, not all of those countries are southeast of Colombia, really just Brazil. Certainly not Panama, which is northeast, and as I learned here in the USA before age 5, is directly opposite of southeast.
I think you have the name wrong Sandra.
Hey! There's a national park south and a little east of Bogota named after their national dance, the Parque Nacional de la Macarena!

It depends what part of Colombia you want to be south east of. If you look at a map you will see that one can travel in a south easterly direction from parts of Colombia to Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and Venezuela.
If you reread what I said, I stated very clearly that this town could potentially be in any of the bordering countries except Panama.
The original poster did not say what part of Colombia they thought the town might be near and so one must look at all possibilities. And if you knew anything about Colombia and its borders you would realise that it is unlikely to be a Brazilian town due to the geography of that area. It is more likely that the town is in Venezuela, Ecuador or Peru.
But, what is more likely is that the original poster is looking for Charleston which is a bit south east of Colombia the state capital of South Carolina, and did not realise that there is a country called Colombia.

I can see your point. She could be looking for Charleston, but she did spell it Colombia like the country, not Columbia the city. Still, I could believe it if this was the "South" America forum. That's Venezuela to the northeast. Doesn't matter anwyay, all those countries are pretty much the same, aren't they.

You can still travel in a south easterly direction from Colombia into Venezuela. even if Venzuela is slightly more northern than Colombia.
And if you think that those countries are much the same you are clearly very ignorant.

Calm down Punani if she meant Columbia, S. Carolina she wouldn't be posting in the latin america thread now would she?
I agree she worded her question awkwardly but there is no need for such an attack.
I'm American and I certainly know the difference. I actually like geography.
Back to helping Sandra: There is a town called Pusagasugo, there is a state called Caldas not exactly south east but somewhat near the capital.. Not much to go on...

I have seen people post about all sorts of things in the wrong forums.

Thank you for all the responses including the negative ones. I can handle constructive critism, you never see yourself the way other people see you. My original info was very vague and incorrect as well. Here is the town I was looking for and supposively where I was born.
GUADUAS, a town of the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia, 53 m. N.W. of
Bogota on the old road between that city and the Magdalena river port of
Honda. Pop. (1900, estimate) 9000, chiefly Indians or of mixed blood. It
stands in a narrow and picturesque valley formed by spurs of the Eastern
Cordillera, and on a small stream bearing the same name, which is that of
the South American bamboo (guaduas), found in great abundance along its
banks. Sugar-cane and coffee are cultivated in the vicinity, and fruits of
various kinds are produced in great abundance. The elevation of the town is
3353 ft. above the sea, and it has a remarkably uniform temperature
throughout the whole year. Guaduas has a pretty church facing upon its
plaza, and an old monastery now used for secular purposes. The importance of
the town sprang from its position on the old camino real between Bogota and
Honda, animportance that has passed away with-the completion of the railway
from Girardot to the Bogota plateau. Guaduas was founded in 1614.
